My Blog

Light Shining Out of Darkness
by William Cowper

God moves in a mysterious way,
His wonders to perform;
He plants his footsteps in the sea,
And rides upon the storm.

Deep in unfathomable mines
Of never-failing skill,
He treasures up his bright designs,
And works his sov'reign will.

Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take,
The clouds ye so much dread
Are big with mercy, and shall break
In blessings on your head.

Judge not the Lord by feeble sense,
But trust him for his grace;
Behind a frowning providence
He hides a smiling face.

His purposes will ripen fast,
Unfolding ev'ry hour;
The bud may have a bitter taste,
But sweet will be the flow'r.

Blind unbelief is sure to err,
And scan his work in vain;
God is his own interpreter,
And he will make it plain.

Some of you who frequently visit my blog might notice a few things have changed. The reason being is because I am in the process of changing so I had to do away with the old in order to make room for the new. I kept a few of my posts up because it has to do with my testimony. But if you notice I took off other posts which mainly dealt with me complaining or with me going back into my past and digging up old dirt. When we are saved and we are baptized our old lives no longer exist meaning the hurt and pain that we dealt with doesn't matter anymore. The only reason why it usually does is because we feel that if we don't hold onto it we can't say "well I came from this and from that". Just leave it as God has changed me from what I was to what I am now. I am not saying do away with your testimony all I am saying is do away with your past hurts and leave the what ifs behind as well.
So that is why there is a difference I am cleaning out my prayer closet and cleaning out my past from my future. So on a fresh note here is something that I came across that I thought was great so I am passing it on Enjoy.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, "Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?" Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. We are born to manifest the glory of God that is within us. Its not just in some of us, its in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give Other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, Our presence automatically liberates others.
